Equipment rack reorganization and new dual monitors

| | Comments (0)

In preparation for our implementation of the SAM crystal mounting robot we've reorganized the equipment rack to accommodate a new graphics workstation that will be the primary interface for users collecting PX data. Additionally we've set up dual monitors so that users can collect data and control the beamline on one LCD and process data on the other LCD.

We've also installed the controller for the Epson arm in the rack inside the hutch. This necessitated consolidating the Keithly amps for the split ion beam positioning monitor that is not actually being used at the moment. Instead of 5 amps we now have just two. One for the ion gauge that measures beam intensity at the experimental shutter (Izero) and one for the PIN diode which measures the X-ray intensity at the sample position (Iend).
