Remote Data Collection
The SIBYLS beamline has available a SAM (Stanford Automated Mounting system) style sample mounting robot. We've christened it DOMO (Dynamic Offsite MX Operator). Our storage dewar accepts two of the widely available SSRL 96 sample cassettes, allowing you extended uninterrupted beamtime to screen crystals and collect data.
Most users will want to collect data from the comfort of their own labs. In order to do this you will need to install and configure NX Client from NoMachine. We have detailed instructions for configuring and connecting to the SIBYLS beamline for both Mac/Linux and Windows:
Connecting to the SIBYLS NX Server from Mac/Linux
Connecting to the SIBYLS NX Server from a Windows PC
When you are done with your data collection and you have oodles of data you can backup your data using our DVD webapp (instructions), and we'll send the DVDs to you via FedEx.
