New Cryojet Mount

In order to make room for the new robot sample dewar we’ve reconfigured the xyz stage and mounting hardware for the Oxford Cryojet. As you can see from these two photos the cryojet is now securely fastened to the gold sample stand. BACK: FRONT: This is the contraption that was supporting the cryojet previously:

Dewar Stand Installed

The stand to hold the LN2 sample dispensing dewar was installed on Monday of this week. It’s that shiny black post in the middle of the picture.

Greg begins installation of SAXS auto sample loading system

We have received and are in the process of installing a Hamilton Micro LAB 4000 liquid handling system. This “robot” (Greg doesn’t like to call it a robot so I’ll enclose it in quotes) will be put to the task of automating the sample loading and cell washing functions for the SAXS endstation.
